It is reported that blog writer/creator/picture/tech/jobber Izzy calls it quits.

"I gave it a good run, somethings just weren't meant to be."

Izzy re-injured his back last week. He has been battling a bad back ever since week two when he carried the blog on his back.

Steven could not be reached for a comment on the unexpected retirement. However this photo was taken moments after he heard the news.

Zona comes out swinging with a quick 12 yard gain followed by a couple nice plays by James. Steelers D wakes up. Former Steeler Punter Mike Bar comes on to punt. Steelers ball.

Steelers get something going when Faneca gets called for holding bringing it back 5. Then the O-Line gives up a sack. Ben saved all of their jobs. He could have easily been sacked a good 4-5 times more if he didn't pull numerous Houdini's. 3rd and 38 pass to Davenport. Sepulveda comes on to punt. This kid is turning out to be a solid pick. 57 yard punt return of 8.

Zona goes 3 and out. Steeler ball. Nate Washington drops another ball. Steelers drive hitting Miller over the middle for 20 and change then the line folds. Parker -6 Ben -10. 3rd and forever Ben bombs one to Holmes for 6. PAT Good.

Steelers come out and go from the 40 to 26 with a bad snap. Punt to Breaston, tackled by Izzy's boy Gay. Zona ball. Warner dominates and hits some douche from 6. Tomlin challanges, we thought he had a chance but the call stands. PAT Good

This recap may see the light of day to shut Lauren up. Steelers looking to go 3-0 for the the first time since the early 90's. We thought that it would be a close game but we also thought that Kevan Barlow would have an impact. Apparently one of the Lineman from San Fran can bench over 800 pounds.

Niners win the toss and elect to receive. 23 yard return, tackle by Gay and Harrison. Alex Smith starts a drive from the 25. Hits Vernon Davis for a 31 yard gain bringing it to the 15. Steelers step it up and forcing San Fran to settle for 3. Nedney comes on and nails a 32 yarder. But before you can throw your controller against the wall Rossum returns the kick for 6. PAT good.

Niners get the ball and go 3 and out. Steelers ball. Ben gets stripped, 1st down San Fran. Starting at the 22 Smith gets into a 3rd in long but finds TE Davis for 11. 1st down. Steelers come up big with another stop forcing another field goal attempt. Good from 22.

Davenport returns it 12. Steelers don't get much going and punt. Niners ball and Steelers D steps it up forcing former Pitt punter Andy Lee on the field. Steelers ball and yeah, punt. No gain on the return Niners start at the 32. Niners punt sending it to the endzone. Steeler ball on the 20. Steelers pull out some trickery with an end around but get no gain. Wilson was running everywhere but couldn't find a hole. Not a bad play. 2nd and 10. 5 yard penalty on Smith followed by a 5 yard penalty on San Fran. 1st and 10 Ben hits Heath for 25 moving the chains for the first time in ages. Great 1st half for the Steelers. Huge touchdown before the half. We didn't even know Tuman was still in the NFL.

Steelers receive. Touchback. Steelers eat up some clock with a string of running plays but go to Miller twice to bring the ball to the 18. 3rd down Hines gets cracked over the middle, ends up leaving the game with a bruised bone or something like that. Reed goes for a 36 yarder.

"I own Hasek" - The Pittsburgh Penguins and Buffalo Sabres face off in the 2000 Conference Semi Finals. The Pens take a quick 2 game to none lead over the Sabres but Pittsburgh loses the next 3 games. Game 7 approaches and Pens and Sabres go into OT. Robert Lang front an odd man rush into the Buffalo zone when he passes it off to Defensman Darius Kasparaitis who fires a wrister from about 50 feet out beating Hasek. After the game Darius states "I own Hasek" in an interview.
Music City Miracle - Quite possible the last straw for Bills fans in 2000 as the Titans score a ratty ass touchdown at the end of the game on a kick return. The Bills have not made a Conference Finals appearance since 1993

First game (and win) of the year, first game (and win) in the Mike Tomlin era, and first of two dismantling of the Cleveland Browns.

First Quater

The Browns won the toss and that's the only good thing that happened for them all day. Reed kicks in into the endzone, which seemed to happen all day so that's a good sign. Three and out and then the longest day in Cleveland began. Muffed punt and five penilitys on one single play gives the Steelers great field position. Third down, Roethlisberger to Ward for six. This shuts up everybody who wondered if Ben was gonna come back this year cause that throw was perfect. Extra Point, Good

Suck It Browns

Cleveland gets it back and two plays later they say "we don't want the ball here you can have it" Townsend gets his first int of the year and returns it to Cleveland's 17 yard line, the rout is on. Steelers do nothing with it so they bring on Jeff Reed

Neiter team felt like doing anything until late in the first when Bryant McFadden recovers a fumble and the Steelers turn it into a 40 yard touchdown pass from Ben to Santonio "Home Sweet" Holmes. Getting points of turnovers is huge (even though it's Browns.) Extra point good. Besides a few plays that ends of the first quater.

It's not yet been confirmed, but I'm pretty sure all of Cleveland looked like that at this point in the game

Second Quater

The only major thing that happened turrning the second quater was Nate Washingron making a great play to keep the ball out of the endzone. The first time I've ever seen Nate the great on special teams but after seeing that play, I like it. The second quater was really boring, if Steelers fans thought it was boring, what did browns fans think?

Third Quater

Steelers drive it right down the field and give Matt Spaeth his first NFL touchdown. Throwing the ball to the tight end in the red zone, good idea. Seriously Spaeth is 6'7" and Heath Miller is 6'5" so it's about time. Extra point is good.

Cleveland fans finaly get a chance to celabrate on the next drive after they get something going and drive down to the steeler's one and get in on a Lee Vickers 1 yard touchdown catch. Extra point by Dawson's Creek is good

Browns fans you can gain hope for the first time since since the Broncos had the ball at their own 2 yard line in 1987.

The most hated man in Cleveland

The Steelers simply laugh at Cleveland's attempt to get back into the game by getting those 7 points back as Ben throws his forth (carrer high) touchdown pass to Big Money Heath Miller from 22 yards out. Extra point is good

That about ends the third quater, while Browns fans are calling for their savior Brady Quinn but he kinda had his hands full the entire game.

Sorry these have been late, we actually were on time but Izzy’s girlfriend is on the rag and decided to be a bitch. Anyways. Pittsburgh wins the toss and elects to receive; Akers nails one for a touchback. 1st play of the game Wilson gets 9 followed up with a 6 yard run by Parker. Ben throws an int. and the Eagles go to work. McNabb seems to be in mid season form goes a quick 2 for 2. Defense wakes up and he’s sacked twice.

Steelers get the ball back and what the hell do you think happens. Sepulveda folds badly and punts it 14 yards. Eagles take the field. Quick run for about 5 or so. 2nd down, McNabb hits Avant for a first moving the ball to the 6. Hard Hitter Extraordinaire Anthony Smith levels Kevin Curtis, reminding him that white folk aren’t fit to be wide receivers. Eagles settle for 3.

Steelers start out with a 22 yard gain by Dan Kreider. I can honestly say that is the first time I’ve heard his name on TV other than when he is introduced. We’ve been saying this to ourselves for years. Kreider along with Aaron Smith may be the most underrated players for their positions. Kreider has a younger brother who is supposedly a better blocker than his brother.

Steelers continue their drive and are put in a tough spot when Faneca gets called for the false start. Faneca is the only current Steeler to have made the Steeler all history team says my Aunt, but what does she know she doesn’t have a penis their for her opinion is useless. Steelers convert on 3rd, but what’s this, no couldn’t be. Willie Parker fumbles on the Goal line.

Eagles get some decent momentum but find a way to land penalties every other play. Punt. 3 and out by the Steelers. 3 and out by the Eagles. McNabb heads to the locker room to film another Chunky Soup commercial with his mom.

Dedication

Barlow runs it into the endzone from the 1, and is cut before he can get back to the bench. We thaught he had an outside shot of being a decent power runner and contributor to the team this year, mabye this is why we write a blog and not for a paper.

Eagles get it and go to work. A couple 1st downs and a 4th and 1. The Rookie Bash Brothers (Timmons + Woodley) come up big and stop Kob up the middle.

Steeler Ball. INT from St. Piere...Should have kept Batch in.

Kolb gets it going again and mounts a drive. Eagles score on a 4 yard pass. PAT Good.

Steelers go 3 and out. This game seems like it has a shot to go into overtime

Kolb still in the game passes it to Curtis (who still has yet to learn his lesson from Mr. Smith) gets the ball knocked lose by Gay. Some assclown runs it in for 6.

Reed comes back in for the kickoff, returned to the 24. Eagles start to drive but before you can say Eagles Suck half of the fans are gone. 4th and 6. Steelers stop it. Randall comes in to take a knee.

AJ Feely who is the back up, didn't get in the game. Mabye he'll see more time next week
Michael Vick may get less than he deserves, gotta give it up to his lawyer. Regardless, you have to respect his athletic ability. You don't have to like him as a person but when he puts the helmet on he is fun to watch.

Defense comes out swinging forcing a 3rd and 12, however Evolution leader and shutdown safety Tyrone Carter gets beat by Chris Cooley. First down. Not much happens in this drive, Albright punts it out of bounds.

Steelers ball. Ben hits Hines for a quick 10. Parker gets stopped for -1 yards. Steelers fold, Sepulveda punts.

Washington ball. 2nd play Campbell gets injured. Diesel Keisel delivers the Jack Knife Powerbomb to Collins, 15 yard penalty. "15 yards...well worth it." -Keisel

Redskins pick up another former Steeler, Brown returns the kick for 16 yards. Time is running out for Washington, Brunell spikes. Gay intercepts with a sick one handed catch.

Can't remember if it was the first or second half but Nate "Make a Play" Washington made a sick catch that was called back. This catch being reversed was almost as disappointing when Izzy's mom made him turn off NHL 94 in the middle of 2-2 game between the Flames and Pens.

Second half starts with what else...3 and out. St Pierre is in now, in our opinion the Steelers don't need a 3rd QB. They should add depth to another position. Batch is a great #2. First and foremost sorry the recap took so long, there were a few things that had to be done including school and work. While we are on the topic of posts, Sunday afternoon games will be posted Sunday night and night games will be posted the following afternoon.

First Quarter

The Steelers first team offense comes out flying scoring on their only drive and the most important part of this drive was Cedrick Wilson, who was bitching to the media about not getting enough balls thrown his way, makes one 55 yard catch on second down and keeps the drive going by catching a 18 yard slant pattern on third down. Naji Davenport does his best Jerome Bettis impersonation and takes it in from 4 yards. PAT: Good.

Steelers 7 - Saints 0

The Saints get the ball and nothing.

With all of offensive threats for the Saints you would thinking to yourself, they will bounce back, nope. Great job by the Steeler's defense (without starter James Harrison) holding the Saints to zero points. Play of the first team defense was LaMarr Woodley making the start in place of Harrison breaking up a pass to force a 4th down, I like LaMarr Woodley already.

Next series, Enter Batch. With the majority of the first team offense done (minus the offensive line) a job well done by the whole first team offense. Then the o-line fell apart faster than the Pirates season

Second Quarter

Steelers' o-line problems get worse as Batch and Brian St. Pierre continually get put to the turf and that's not a good site. Santonio Holmes starts to do his best Cedrick Wilson impersonation and starts to dominate by burning the assclowns of the New Orleans secondary. Holmes scores the first of what will be many touchdowns this year on a niiiiiiiiccccccccceeeee fade pass in the corner of the end zone. PAT: Good

New Orleans deep in the second quarter still couldn't get anything going and gives the ball to the Steelers and it's Carey Davis time. I think he's gonna be this year's Willie Parker, not saying he's going to be a starter anytime soon but make the team and contribute real soon. Highlight breaking through for a 56 yard run and who was the lead blocker? Nate Washington. Steeler's offense struggles so bring on Skippy.

Third Quarter

Nothing really happened in the third quarter besides some backup fullback scoring to make the score 17 - 7 by other than that not much else happened, well something might of happened I might of just forgot.

Forth Quarter

Tyler Palko comes in so right away you start rooting for him to do good, even if you're not a Pitt fan he's still a kid from the WPIAL so you gotta root for him. One person not rooting for him was William Gay who just lit up Saint's first round pick Robert Mechium. Just in case that hit wasn't enough, Gay intercepts Palko, which kinda made you a little upset, to seal it for Mike Tomlin's first win.

It’s my birthday so this is getting half assed…sorta like my sex drive of late.

The Pittsburgh Pirates season officially ended today with the start of Steelers training camp. Nate Washington has more wives than the Bucco’s have wins so they are dead to us now. We can only hope that these 15 two a day practices will pay off in the 4th quarter.

OFFENSIVE LINE– Alan Fanecca should be solid because it’s a contract year for him. If Starx gets a mean streak going he could be as dominate as I am in bad mitten.

Dedication

Marvel Smith has been "doin' work" some time now. It will be interesting to see how the running game plays out with Okobi (If anyone has the lyrics to his song “Hines Field” send that shit in. Yeah he has his own rap CD. I kid you not). Okobi’s speed could add more to the running game.

QUARTERBACKS – Ben got hit by a car then lost his appendix. Hopefully this is why he led the NFL in interceptions. Not much to say other than Charlie Batch is the balls.

RUNNING BACKS – The addition of Kevin Barlow is key. He could be a solid No. 2 or a 3rd down back. Willie Parker had a huge year last year hopefully it carries into 2007.

WIDE RECEIVER – Solid core led by Hines Ward and Santonio Holmes. Holmes led all rookies in receptions last year but Nate Washington led all men in most impregnatncies. Look out for Dallas Baker (Big guy from Florida).

TIGHT END – Ever since Matt Cushing left this has been a weak spot.

K – Reed is money

DEFENSIVE LINE – Brett “Keeper of the Castle” Keisel and Aaron Smith are underrated. Casey Hampton does what he wants when he wants.

LINEBACKER – Even without Porter this still is a solid unit. Timmons, if healthy,can be a huge addition. James Harrison is the first player in NFL History to have recorded a Choke Slam in a game.

DEFENSIVE BACKS- Tyrone Carter (*leader of Evolution) is where its at. The teams future is on his shoulders. Bryant McFadden should be competing for a starting spot. Starter or not he has his own Billboard in Oakland. Do Ike Taylor or Deshea Townsend have there face all over Oakland?

You think you know...but you have no idea. This is the diary of a Pittsburgh Steeler ball boy.

"Rodge runs a tight shift around here. We usually work from 6:30 to 8:00. When there is a two-a-day it goes till about 9:30. It's no joke dude setting up all sleds and dragging 4 fields 3 tiems each. Carrying JUGS Machines and Genorators over 400 yards blows."

Cleaning jock straps, washing equipment is the daily routine for these young men. "It is really tough your rookie year all the other ball boys have to initiate you, keep you inline." Those who are lucky only have to sing infront of the team...for others, things can be brutal down at St. Vincents. Ball Boys are often segregated and join factions, such as the Ball Boy power house Evolution run by Tyrone Carter. "If your in Evolution your a made man. You get to hang out with us outside of camp and are exempt from any physical labor." says leader Tyrone Carter.

"Mr. Jocko ruined my life"

"Evolution don't play games" says a former ball boy. "When we were unpacking from a preseason game a few years back they took Alonzo Jacksons game used jock and gave me the "mandible claw" with it. Later that night they woke me up and gave me the "people's elbow".

2006 was a rebuilding year for us. They lost the core members of Evolution (two of the founding fathers). Trying to switch things up they went from Lemon to Orange Gatorade, it seemed to have done the trick as the Steelers finished the season on a high note.

New England added key pieces to both offense and defense this year. Besides the signing of Randy Moss they picked up Stallworth and Thomas

Miami needs to step their game up. Nothing worth while to say other than their Tight End goes home and beats his wife on a daily basis. Out of their division they have the easiest schedule....Not as easy as my ex however

New York Jets other than the addition of Thomas Jones, they are coming back with the same team as last year.

Buffalo Bills will fold just like the Sabres did in the playoffs.

We already said it earlier but some assclown decided to bad mouth. Pensblog big, Pensblog big...we small, we small. On a good day we can't even smell their farts. So before you start jobbing just chill out. I mean I have to hand it to the pensblog, they are hilarious...it must be really hard to talk up a team that hasn't one a championship in over 15 years.

Odd ending, screen went black right as the family met up at an ice cream parlor. A bunch of shady guys walked in, possible hitmen or badly dressed Browns fans. The camera man probably passed out to the awesomeness that is Nate Washington, this could explain the black out at the end.

If there is a movie it would probably tie up all of the loose ends. Chase has shown interest in doing a film focusing on how the Sopranos got into the country (Uncle Junior and Johnny Boy) A lot of foreshadowing/past references this season (6b).

Chris listens to The Departed sound track before he dies/murdered (the song was comfortable numb by Pink Floyd, Chris also had coke in him, being numb)

We have the Steelers going 12-4 this year, just a guess. Bengals are a joke; they will have more arrests than wins. Every time we watch the Bengals play it feels like we are watching The Longest Yard. T. J. Douchemandzadeh is an assclown; he will be the punch line to most of our jokes. Former Bengal A.J. Nicholson had more arrests than career sacks. That speaks a lot about your franchise.
